Google Trusted Stores – Explained

Google has released a very new “Google Trusted Store” Pilot Program. It helps shoppers identify which stores are trusted by Google themselves. At the moment, only a selective few websites have the badge. Search Engine Watch explains that this will raise confidence with shoppers on certain websites that is a ‘Trusted Store’. What does this mean for shoppers and retailers?…Shoppers will have higher confidence in making purchases, $1000 purchase protection, they can make a claim 30 days after they have received the product. (based on delivery time, wrong amount charged or wrong item) Also, the badge shows information such as grades and percentages on the stores ‘Reliable Shipping’ and ‘Service.’

If your a retailer and would like to be a part of this, you first need to share your delivery data with Google. There is a criteria to get the badge such as, having sufficient monthly orders, excellent shipment and service turn around time. Search Engine Watch details this in their post here.
