JETOUR Freedom: Road Trip Off-Road SUV

On November 15, 2024, the 22nd Guangzhou International Auto Show officially commenced. At this event, Jetour Auto introduced its newest model, the جيتور Freedom (Jetour T1 gasoline version).

Exterior Design:

In terms of exterior design, the Jetour Freedom maintains the brand’s family-style aesthetic.

The front features petal-shaped headlights on both sides, with a grille adorned by the “جيتور” lettering and square fog lights.

The profile of the vehicle also adopts a robust “box” shape, enhanced by roof racks and fixed side steps, further emphasizing its rugged off-road characteristics.

It is important to note an adjustment to the decorative panel on the D-pillar of Freedom, creating a floating roof effect. Additionally, the vehicle offers a variety of new wheel designs.

Dimensionally, the Jetour Freedom measures 4706 mm in length, 1967 mm in width, and 1845 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2810 mm. Moreover, the approach angle is 27 degrees, the departure angle is 25 degrees, and it is equipped with a 1.6-ton towing capacity.

Interior and Comfort

Upon entering the car, one is immediately greeted by sleek, straight lines that complement the handle in front of the passenger seat and the polygonal four-spoke steering wheel, enhancing the vehicle’s robust exterior. The floating central control screen is flanked by all-digital instrument panels and decorative ambient lighting, creating a sense of modernity and technological sophistication.

Moreover, the Freedom model is equipped with features such as wireless phone charging, a 64-inch panoramic sunroof, double-layer soundproof glass at both the front windshield and all four doors, rear windshield and rear privacy glass, electrically adjustable/ventilated/heated front seats, and a leg rest for the passenger seat.

In addition to its comprehensive features, the car also offers class-leading spaciousness, with the rear seats folding down to create a 2-meter deep flatbed. Additionally, this model features a unique travel co-driver seat in its class, complete with heating, ventilation, memory seat function, and a leg rest feature.

Engine

As an “off-road SUV for road trips,” performance is naturally a focal point. The Jetour Freedom will feature the classic “golden combination” of Kunpeng Power 2.0T+8AT, with a maximum power of 187kW and peak torque of 390N·m. Based on its robust power performance, challenging maneuvers such as climbing over obstacles are effortlessly manageable for the Freedom.

Moreover, the new vehicle will also be equipped with BorgWarner’s sixth-generation four-wheel drive system. It not only intelligently recognizes road conditions and automatically distributes torque but also offers seven preset driving modes along with customized “X” settings.

In short, even if you are a novice, you can experience the feel of a seasoned off-road driver.

Over the years, Jetour Automobiles has consistently pursued the “Travel+” strategy. From the Jetour Traveler to the T1 and T2, and now to the latest Jetour Freedom, as the product matrix has expanded step by step, Jetour Automobiles is increasingly nearing its goal of becoming the leading hybrid off-road brand.
