During Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia’s school holidays, as well as the first weekend of South Australia’s school holidays, Gather Round will take place from Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 13.
Grand Finalist Sydney will play Collingwood at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night, while the Adelaide Crows will play Geelong on Thursday night to start the round.
Richmond vs. Fremantle on Sunday afternoon and North Melbourne vs. Gold Coast Suns on Saturday afternoon will both take place at Barossa Park and will highlight the region’s amazing wine and cuisine selections.
Melbourne vs. Essendon on Saturday night and Carlton vs. West Coast Eagles on Saturday afternoon will both be played at the Adelaide Oval, and tickets for each game will be available separately.
On Saturday, the Western Bulldogs will take on the Brisbane Lions at Norwood Oval. When St Kilda plays the GWS Giants on the pitch on Sunday, the Parade will come to life with the Norwood Food & Wine Festival.
At Adelaide Oval, Port Adelaide and Hawthorn will rematch this year’s thrilling semi-final to wrap up the incredible Gather Round matchup.
With the installation of turf and over two-thirds of the construction completed, the new Barossa Park facility in Lyndoch is moving forward according to plan.
A 350-person function space, flexible restrooms, two oval fields, modern parking, lighting, and more than 42,000 square meters of sports fields are all part of Barossa Park.
The Gather Round fixture will kick off the $40 million project, which was co-funded by the Malinauskas Labour Government and the Barossa Council. It will create a permanent legacy for the famous tourist destination to hold communal, artistic, and athletic events.
Club and AFL members will be able to purchase Gather Round tickets via Ticketek starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, and the general public will be able to do so starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11.
