Deciding which type of school program to go with for your electrical safety training can be something you want to spend some time on. When I looked, there were a few things I took into consideration. You will want to do the same before you spend money on a course you don’t use.
I chose to go with NFPA 70E online training because it didn’t mess with my schedule. Being pretty good at self direction I knew it would be a good fit. However I do wish I had some live instructor training as well. They have that online too.
Check out these benefits of online training.
1) Do Self-Led NFPA 70E Online Training at the Time of Day Best for You
For anyone who has a busy day, online classes are the way to go. Schools like Benchmark create pre-recorded video courses that walk you through the different electrical safety topics. This was my personal choice as I was working two jobs while trying to get through this training.
You can easily pause a video and get back to it at another time. Or get through all of the training you want in one weekend. This type of program course is great for people who thrive on their own schedule or only have short periods of time available during the week.
2) There are Online Classes Held by Instructors When Distance is an Issue
When you want to learn from expert instructors but can’t make it to in-person training, these classes are perfect. Still held online, so feel free to wear pajama bottoms and sit on your couch. Get an edge on your safety training by asking your instructor questions.
Since these classes have a live teacher, you’ll have class at certain times on set days of the week. If you do best on a schedule versus work on your own, you’ll definitely appreciate these types of classes. Not only is everything on your calendar, you also get a lot of one-on-one attention from the teacher.
3) Electrical Safety Training Online Will Save You Money
Doing safety training online tends to save you a bunch of money. Since you’re not paying for a live class, or having a safety trainer come to your business, you will only pay a small portion of what you would with the in-person classes. This is great while we’re in the tight economy we’re currently in.
You don’t have to worry about compromising your education for a lower price. Most schools have fantastic programs no matter which way you take them. Both their in-person and online trainers will have lots of experience and expertise to give you a well rounded education.
