During this time, we encountered a family friend who operated a mobile coffee business in Hanover, Germany. He impressed us with his outstanding brews from a unique mobile platform that required no electricity. His manual lever machines, generating their heat, produced some of the best-tasting coffees we had ever experienced.

Inspired by his success and our love for Italian coffee, we incorporated his mobile concept into our brand. The Piaggio APE, a classic three-wheel vehicle with a retro-modified look, became integral to Richies Mobile Café's identity. To ensure we provided the perfect blend, we embarked on a months-long journey, visiting various roasters and conducting extensive taste tests. Ultimately, we settled on a local roaster in Frankfurt, Germany. We selected a strong Italian blend of coffee to satisfy our largest customer base - the US Soldiers and Civilians stationed at the US Military Base in Wiesbaden.

We ventured into the world of events, equipped with a red, custom-fitted three-wheeled Piaggio Ape, boasting a professional semi-automatic Fierenzato Ducale two-group coffee machine. Weddings, markets, and prestigious exhibitions, such as the Frankfurt auto show, became our stage. We were honored to be entrusted with running the coffee station for the German Minister of Transportation's display during the auto show in 2015. The demand for our coffee was so overwhelming that we had to limit access to our station, as attendees were bypassing other offerings to savor our exceptional brews. The success of this event propelled us further, leading us to upgrade our operations from the three-wheeled Piaggio Ape to a fully functioning mobile coffee shop trailer.
